What do we do for Schmidt ?
Schmidt offers showrooms with staged scenes during store visits, their goal, was to digitize these showrooms through a 3D kitchen configurator.
The brand’s desire is also to be able to create an inspirational universe of kitchen layouts for its website.
The goal is to offer online visitors a digital client experience through the 3D kitchen configurator, not for direct online sales but rather to complete and push the in store sales.
- User- friendly: The user-friendly interface guides users while leaving them with full freedom of choice.
- Real time 3D: The 3D visualization tool enables customers to browse the thousands of configurations the brand has to offer.
- I.S. connection: Our solution connects perfectly with Schmidt’s marketing tools and information system (I.S.).
Results and feedback:
- X2 appointments made: since the 3D configurator was launched, the number of in-store appointments has doubled.

What features have been provided for the Schmidt Kitchen project ?
3D kitchen design enhanced through Advanced UX Experience
To answer this request, our teams worked on a 3D kitchen configurator and a customization menu with real-time visuals.
An important work is done for the 3D configurator creation. The intent is to create a universe associated with each kitchen type. Not only the kitchen 3D model alone, but rather represent the kitchen in a living room to immerse the visitor in a familiar universe with which he identifies. Also it is important to make this configurator an easy to use tool :
- no need for precise measuring
- no particular skills in the kitchen needed
- an intuitive system
A similar project was developed for Provost. The complexity of the components presented a real challenge, with the goal being to design a system that was both intuitive and functional.
Finally, a special care is given to the work on the rendering of ambiance and lighting to offer the visitor a personalized experience with a high level of detail.
The conception of a web app that communicates with a Schmidt internal website and of a unique URL system (that allows saving kitchen layouts) are key steps for this project. In fact, it allows the consumer to revisit the website several times, in order to have a very precise idea of what he wants. Thus, he can be well prepared for his in-store meeting and the seller as well.
It is capital to include a price calculating system adapting to the chosen configuration, because budget is an essential decision-making element for the purchase of a kitchen. Also we integrate language management in this configurator, to uphold the international dimension of the brand.
The intuitive interface is supported by fast loading of 3D models, making the overall UX of the project as immersive and fluid as possible. The integration of 3D elements and technical aspects was complete within the site and in the brands' purchasing process. Our expertise and know-how have allowed us to continue our collaboration with other projects such as Schmidt Wardrobe.
