Schmidt kitchen is a Schmidt group’s brand. With a high-end positioning and a strong will of customer satisfaction, the brand Schmidt has built a solid reputation over the years, a guarantee of quality and durability.

Mission

Schmidt’s desire is to be able to create an inspirational universe of kitchen layouts for its website. The important being to keep theses 2 goals in mind : - Increase the number of in-store appointment took online - Help the in-store sales (because both the client and the seller, already knows the approximative budget, criterias and kitchen possibilities that can fit their needs) The goal is to offer online visitors a digital experience not for direct online sales but rather to complete and push the in store sales.

Functionalities

To answer this request, our teams worked on a 3D Universe configurator and a customization menu with real-time visuals.

An important work is done for the 3D configurator creation. The intent is to create a universe associated with each kitchen type. Not only the kitchen 3D model alone, but rather represent the kitchen in a living room to immerse the visitor in a familiar universe with which he identifies. Also it is important to make this configurator an easy to use tool : - no precise measuring to enter - no particular skills in the kitchen needed - a simple and intuitive system! Finally, a special care is given to the work on the rendering of ambiance and lighting to offer the visitor a personalized experience with a high level of detail.

The conception of a web app that communicates with a Schmidt internal website and of a unique URL system (that allows saving kitchen layouts) are key steps for this project. In fact, it allows the potential client to revisit the website several times, in order to have a very precise idea of what he wants. Thus, he can be well prepared for his in-store meeting and the seller as well!

It is capital to include a price calculating system adapting to the chosen configuration, because budget is an essential decision-making element for the purchase of a kitchen. Also we integrate language management in this configurator, to uphold the international dimension of the brand.
